Dodgers partner with GRAMMY Museum to offer ticket package

Celebration of the life and career of Jenni Rivera set for Viva Los Dodgers July 14

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers and the GRAMMY Museum at L.A. LIVE will partner for the first time to offer fans special ticket packages to attend Viva Los Dodgers and the game against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday, July 14 at 1:10 p.m. at a discounted rate and features an exclusive offer. Each ticket package includes a Preferred Reserve ticket and a voucher to the GRAMMY Museum valid through December 31, 2013 for $20.

The Dodgers will honor late singer and longtime Dodger fan Jenni Rivera at Viva Los Dodgers prior to the July 14 game starting at 11:10 a.m. in lot 6.

Rivera sold over 20 million albums worldwide, won various Gold and Platinum records certified by the RIAA and was the female leader of the banda genre. Since her death on December 9, 2012, sales of all her records have tripled. She earned nominations at the 2003, 2008 and 2010 Latin GRAMMYs and became the first female Banda artist to sell-out two back-to-back nights at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on August 6, 2010 and August 7, 2010. Rivera also had a successful TV career with her reality series "I Love Jenni" on Telemundo's bilingual cable network, mun2.

The GRAMMY Museum, in cooperation with the family of Jenni Rivera, introduced a new exhibition, Jenni Rivera, La Gran Señora, on May 12. The exhibit focuses on Rivera as the "Diva of Banda," a musical powerhouse due to her work within the banda and norteña music genres. The exhibit also illustrates how Rivera used her music and celebrity to abolish female stereotypes that existed in Mexican music for many years. The exhibit will be on display until May 2014 on the museum's third floor.

This $20 ticket package offers fans the opportunity to both attend Viva Los Dodgers Day and a Dodger game on July 14 and the new Jenni Rivera exhibition at the GRAMMY Museum. Viva Los Dodgers presented by Chevrolet, State Farm and Time Warner Cable, now in its fourth season, takes place each Sunday of every homestand two hours prior to game. The season-long initiative celebrates Latino culture in Los Angeles and the legacy of Latin American Dodgers past and present at a family-friendly pregame festival in lot 6. The event is free with a game day ticket.

Fans can purchase the Viva Los Dodgers and GRAMMY Museum ticket package by visiting www.dodgers.com/jennirivera and using the promotional code: RIVERA.
