Haselman moved up to manage Rancho Cucamonga

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have had an unexpected shuffling of Minor League managers, moving Bill Haselman up from Class A Great Lakes to Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga, replacing P.J. Forbes, who resigned.

According to the blog of Dodgers director of digital and print content Jon Weisman, Forbes resigned two weeks before Spring Training "for family reasons." A new manager for Great Lakes has not been named.

"While we wish P.J. and his family all the best, we now look forward to welcoming Bill Haselman to Rancho Cucamonga," Quakes vice president and general manager Grant Riddle said on the Rancho Cucamonga website. "We're excited to get him in a Quakes' jersey and welcome him to the Quakes' family."

The Dodgers have undergone a thorough housecleaning of the player development system, which is now run by Josh Byrnes and Gabe Kapler, but they made no managerial changes in the farm system until this one.
