Urias' impressive run grabs attention

Prospect extends scoreless streak; Ryu progresses; McCarthy slowed

SAN DIEGO -- Another overwhelming start for top pitching prospect Julio Urias at Triple-A Friday night meant more questions about his Major League arrival for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.
This time he was asked if, considering the shaky state of his bullpen, he had requested from the front office a callup of the 19-year-old phenom, who has a streak of 27 consecutive scoreless innings.
"Everyone knows what he's doing and what he can do," said Roberts. "To his credit he continues to excel and dominate at Triple-A. Our guys, in terms of the farm system, it's kind of belaboring for me to ask for it. They know what he brings and what kind of an asset he is."
Roberts, however, said Hyun-Jin Ryu came out of a Friday night rehab start in good shape and will make his next one Wednesday at Triple-A. He is on a pace to return from last year's shoulder surgery in June.
Also, Brandon McCarthy has been slowed in his rehab from last year's Tommy John surgery.
