Dodgers Recall Mike Bolsinger, Option Chris Heisey

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today recalled right-handed pitcher Mike Bolsinger and optioned outfielder Chris Heisey to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Bolsinger will make his second start of the season for the Dodgers tonight after allowing one run on five hits over 5.2 innings in a spot start on April 23 at San Francisco (no-decision, eventual 3-2 loss in 10 innings). The 27-year-old last pitched on May 6 for Triple-A Oklahoma City vs. New Orleans, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out seven in a 5.0-inning no-decision (84 pitches), and has gone 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA in four minor league starts this year. With Oklahoma City, Bolsinger has posted a 0.95 WHIP and limited opposing hitters to a .188 batting average, with 28 strikeouts against only six walks in 19.0 innings. Bolsinger, who was acquired from the D-backs on Nov. 22, 2014 in exchange for cash considerations, saw his first big league action last year for Arizona and will be appearing in his 12th Major League game (11th start).

Heisey has appeared in three games in two stints for the Dodgers this season, going 1-for-5 with five walks and two runs scored.
