LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated left-hander Scott Kazmir from the 15-day disabled list and recalled infielder Chris Taylor from Triple-A Oklahoma City, giving the team 39 players on its active roster.
Kazmir, 32, is 10-6 with a 4.59 ERA in 25 starts with the Dodgers this year, limiting left-handed hitters to a .213 batting average. He last pitched on Aug. 22 at Cincinnati before being placed on the disabled list with neck soreness.
Taylor has appeared in 29 games in two stints with the Dodgers this year, going 12-for-55 (.218) with a homer and seven RBI. The 26-year-old, who was acquired from Seattle on June 19 in exchange for Zach Lee, combined to hit .322 with a .397 on-base percentage, three homers and 37 RBI in 78 minor league games this year with Triple-A Oklahoma City and the Mariners' Triple-A Tacoma.
