Dodgers Reinstate Van Slyke, Place Hatcher on DL

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated Scott Van Slyke from the disabled list (left mid-back inflammation) and placed right-hander Chris Hatcher on the 15-day disabled list (left oblique strain) retroactive to June 15.

Van Slyke last appeared in a game on May 30 at St. Louis and has batted .264 with two home runs and 14 RBI in 34 games this season. He made three rehab appearances with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, going 4-for-11 with a double, a homer and two RBI.

Hatcher has made 27 appearances for the Dodgers this year, going 1-4 with two saves and a 6.38 ERA.
