LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated left-hander Alex Wood from the 60-day disabled list.
Wood, 25, last pitched on May 30 and has gone 1-4 with a 3.99 ERA in 10 starts with the Dodgers this season. He was originally diagnosed with a posterior impingement in his left elbow and underwent an arthroscopic debridement on July 20.
To create room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers designated right-hander Bud Norris for assignment. Norris, who was acquired from Atlanta on June 30 in a five-player deal, went 3-3 with a 6.54 ERA in 13 games (nine starts) with the Dodgers. The Dodgers have 36 players on their active roster.
