Hershiser reportedly to join Dodgers' TV crew

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The Dodgers will add former Cy Young Award winner Orel Hershiser and Alanna Rizzo to the broadcast team for next year's debut of the SportsNet LA network, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Dodgers could not confirm the report. Last week, the Times reported that former Dodger Nomar Garciaparra would join Hall of Famer Vin Scully, Charlie Steiner and Rick Monday on the broadcast team.

The changes come as the Dodgers are about to begin an $8 billion, 25-year TV partnership with Time Warner.

Hershiser is leaving ESPN to rejoin the Dodgers, while Rizzo was part of MLB Network's coverage team.

Eric Collins and Steve Lyons did not have their contracts renewed after the 2013 season.

Ken Gurnick is a reporter for MLB.com.
