Dodgers send Arruebarrena to High A team

SAN FRANCISCO -- Dodgers infielder Erisbel Arruebarrena, who triggered a brawl Saturday night while on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque, was activated and optioned to Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday.

Arruebarrena, on the disabled list since July 5 with a strained hip flexor muscle, hit a home run Friday night against Arizona's Reno affiliate and circled the bases in slow motion.

Lingering anger flared Saturday night after a pitch up and in to Arruebarrena. The infielder later struck out and got into an altercation with catcher Blake Lalli.

In the resulting 15-minute brawl there were 10 ejections, including Arruebarrena and teammate Pedro Baez. Disciplinary action is pending.

Meanwhile, Chone Figgins, also on a rehab assignment with Albuquerque for a strained hip flexor, was tentatively scheduled to return to Los Angeles to be evaluated.
