GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Brandon Beachy threw three scoreless innings, Austin Barnes hit his third home run of the spring and the Dodgers countered a late Cubs rally for a 6-5 walk-off win on Saturday night at Camelback Ranch in a split-squad game for both clubs.
Jesus Guzman singled and scored in a two-run eighth and hit a two-run homer in the ninth as the Cubs rallied to take 5-4 lead after trailing since the second inning, but the bullpen walked in a run and hit another batter with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth.

Beachy, continuing his return after a second Tommy John surgery, pitched around a pair of doubles to keep the Cubs off the scoreboard. The right-hander is considered one of the favorites in the competition to fill the spot in the Dodgers' rotation that was created when left-hander Brett Anderson had back surgery last week.
"He threw well," manager Dave Roberts said of Beachy. "Every time he goes out there, from the bullpen to each game, he continues to get better. His pitches were sharper today. Just another positive outing."

Cubs starting pitcher Trevor Cahill, a Dodgers Minor Leaguer for six weeks last year, allowed two runs in the second inning, both scoring on wild pitches. Chase Utley tripled with one out and Barnes walked. On Cahill's first wild pitch, Utley scored and Barnes hustled from first to third. Barnes then scored with two outs on Cahill's second misfire.

Barnes' third home run of the week came leading off the fifth inning against Adam Warren, and Utley also singled in the fourth.
Cubs catcher Willson Contreras had two doubles, a single and scored a run, threw out Micah Johnson trying to steal second base and picked off Utley at first base.

Up next for Cubs:Kyle Hendricks will make his third spring appearance and second start on Sunday when the Cubs travel to Hohokam Stadium to face the Athletics. Hendricks gave up two hits over three scoreless innings in his last outing, striking out two. Kyle Schwarber was expected back in the Cubs' lineup after missing two days because of some soreness in his left knee. The game will begin at 3:05 p.m. CT and be broadcast live on Gameday Audio.
Up next for Dodgers:Clayton Kershaw makes his third start of the spring on Sunday against Jordan Lyles and the Colorado Rockies in a game available live on MLB.TV at 1:10 p.m. PT. Kershaw has allowed one run in five innings with seven strikeouts. The Dodgers are likely to make their first round of roster cuts Sunday or Monday.
