Dodgers take on Colorado in a three-game series starting tomorrow

LOS ANGELES - The Dodgers' second homestand of the 2014 season concludes with a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies tomorrow, Friday April 25 at 7:10 p.m. (RHP Jordan Lyles vs. RHP Josh Beckett), Saturday, April 26 at 6:10 p.m. (RHP Juan Nicasio vs. LHP Paul Maholm) and Sunday, April 27 at 1:10 p.m. (LHP Jorge De La Rosa vs. LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu). All auto gates open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow. On Saturday, all auto gates open at 3:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 4:00 p.m. All auto gates open at 10:30 a.m. and all stadium gates open at 11:00 a.m. Sunday.

Tomorrow fans are invited down onto the field for Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny's immediately following the game. The fireworks show will be set to popular TV and movie music. Edwin Hernandez, who rescued his 18 year-old neighbor from her burning house in Reseda in April, will officially start the game with "It's Time For Dodger Baseball!" Dodger Alumni League member Matt Luke will sign autographs in the right-field pavilion plaza and Alumni Leaguer Derrel Thomas will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion plaza from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Veteran of the Game presented by Bank of America is U.S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Brook Bossen. Bossen enlisted in 2000. His role as a Chief Maritime Law Enforcement Specialist has sent him across the country for deployment to the Gulf of Aden, Arabian Gulf and the Mediterranean Sea. Bossan's accolades include the Coast Guard Commendation Medal and the Coast Guard Achievement Medal. 

Kemp's Kids, a Los Angeles Dodgers player program, was established and is fully sponsored by Matt Kemp to provide underprivileged and inner-city youth with opportunities to visit and experience Dodger Stadium. Kemp's Kids is also dedicated to elevating and increasing the relevance of Major League Baseball and participation of youth baseball among inner-city youth in the greater Los Angeles area. Tomorrow, 25 youth baseball players ages 11-13 from Hollywood Indie League, will attend Dodger batting practice and meet Kemp. Each youngster will also receive a Kemp's Kids T-shirt, a gift bag with items handpicked by Kemp, a Loge level game ticket and $25 in Dodger Dollars to purchase food and drinks during the game.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) will hold a silent auction on the Club level by the Vin Scully Press Box. The auction ends at 8:45 p.m. with more than 25 items up for bid, including an Orel Hershiser Autographed 1988 World Series Baseball, Clayton Kershaw Autographed LA Dodgers Jersey and a Kids Take The Field Experience. All proceeds will benefit LADF and its programs in sports and recreation, education and literacy and health and wellness which help children and families throughout the greater Los Angeles region.

The Dodgers are teaming up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through a group sales effort in support of their mission to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and Myeloma as well as improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Tomorrow the Dodgers will honor members of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Man and Woman of the year campaign, a 10-week fundraising competition in which local industry and community leaders raise funds for LLS.

Tomorrow, Friday, April 25

On Saturday, the Dodgers take on the Rockies at 6:10 p.m. All auto gates open at 3:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 4:00 p.m. The Dodger Stadium Movie Series begins Saturday and fans will be treated to a postgame screening of "Field of Dreams," which stars Kevin Costner as an Iowa farmer who constructs a baseball diamond in the middle of his cornfield and encounters baseball legends. "Field of Dreams," celebrating its 25^th anniversary, is rated PG and will run on DodgerVision screens in the outfield. Renowned fashion designer and founder of BCBG Max Azria will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Tommy Davis will sign autographs in the right-field pavilion plaza and Tim Leary will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion plaza from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

As part of Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball, 250 youngsters ages 5-14 from El Sereno Stallions Little League, which is based out of the El Sereno community center located in North Griffith Park, will be in attendance. Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball provides Los Angeles area inner-city youth with a Dodger game experience courtesy of the Dodgers. Transportation to and from Dodger Stadium in a customized Dodger bus, Reserve level tickets, a voucher for a Dodger Dog and beverage and a Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball T-shirt are included.

This Saturday the City of Santa Clarita celebrates its 37^th Dodger Day. Groups in attendance include the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, City of Santa Clarita Youth Sports, Hart baseball and softball, local schools and churches. Santa Clarita Boys and Girls Club Chief Professional Officer Jim Ventress will throw the first pitch. The Dodgers will welcome more than 1,800 Girl Scouts and their families for the Dodgers' annual Girl Scout Night. The Girl Scouts of America ticket package includes access to a special pregame parade, a commemorative Girl Scout Patch, unlimited food and beverage in the All-You-Can-Eat right-field pavilion and a ticket to the game. The Dodgers will be host the annual Boy Scouts night on Saturday, August 23. The Veteran of the Game presented by Bank of America is U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Antonio Tinajero of Los Angeles. Tinajero enlisted 2003, has served with four different units and is trained as an Infantry Assaultman. He is currently assigned to the Wounded Warrior Battalion West, Balboa Detachment in San Diego recovering from injuries he sustained when an Improvised Explosive Device hit his vehicle while on patrol in Afghanistan. Tinajero's accolades include two Purple Heart Medals and a Combat Action Ribbon.

Saturday, April 26

The Dodgers' three-game series against Colorado concludes Sunday at 1:10 p.m. All auto gates open at 10:30 a.m. and all stadium gates open at 11:00 a.m. The first 15,000 ticketed kids 14 and under in attendance will receive a Kid's Hanley Ramirez Replica Jersey presented by Time Warner Cable. "Sweet" Lou Johnson will sign autographs in the right-field pavilion plaza and Dennis Powell will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion plaza from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Viva Los Dodgers, presented by State Farm, Chevrolet and Time Warner Cable, in lot 6 begins at 11:00 a.m. and will feature autographs by Dodger Alumni Leaguer Mickey Hatcher and musical entertainment will be provided by Electro-Cumbia band Cumbia Machin and Ballet Folklorico Guadalajara.

Sunday's "Héroe de la Comunidad" honoree at Viva Los Dodgers is Salesian Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Brother Tom Mass. Salesian Boys and Girls Club inspires and enables the young people of East Los Angeles and the surrounding communities to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens, and to support their families in this effort. Since 1966 the Salesian Boys and Girls Club on Wabash Avenue has been a home to the young people of Boyle Heights and City Terrace on Los Angeles' Latino Eastside. The Salesian Family Youth Center opened in 1994. The center serves more than 3,400 registered members, ages 6 to 18 and offers activities promoting youth to develop positive life skills and prepare them for life through education, leadership, sports, technology and cultural awareness.

Adrian Gonzalez, through the Adrian Gonzalez's Viva Los Dodgers community program, will provide all-inclusive tickets and parking for families in greater Los Angeles by partnering with various non-profit organizations. This Sunday, Gonzalez will also host families from Salesian Boys and Girls Club. All Dodger fans are welcome at Viva Los Dodgers and the event is free with a ticket to the day's game.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) will have a Mystery Bag fundraiser at Viva Los Dodgers at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Tent. High enlisted in 2009 and is stationed at the Fort Irwin National Training Center serving as Combat Documentation Production Specialist. She earned her Parachutist Badge and in 2011, served a deployment to Qatar near the Persian Gulf. High's accolades include the Army Commendation Medal and being selected as the post wide for the NCO of the Quarter at Fort Irwin.

Sunday, April 27

The Dodgers' auto gates are now open 2.5 hours before game time and the stadium gates are open two hours before the scheduled first pitch. Fans taking advantage of this early arrival time can enjoy various family-friendly activities as soon as gates open throughout Dodger Stadium including in the newly enhanced right and left-field pavilion plazas which feature the Budweiser and Bud Light bullpen overlook bars and the new Tommy Lasorda Trattoria and the Think Blue BBQ. In the left and right-field pavilion plazas, there are also plenty of photo opportunities with Dodger memorabilia, including five-foot diameter World Series rings, an eight-foot replica of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, a life-size statue of the iconic Farmer John Dodger Dog, interactive replicas of the 76 ball and various bobbleheads. Autographs for fans with Dodger Alumni League members also take place before each game in the pavilion plaza areas. A DJ will also provide musical entertainment in the right-field pavilion plaza Friday through Sunday. There will also be face painters, caricature artist and a balloon maker in the right and left-field pavilion plazas.
