LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers traded infielder to the Braves on Friday for a player to be named or cash considerations, the club announced.
Johnson was designated for assignment on Wednesday to make room on the 40-man roster for the signing of free-agent closer .

Johnson, 26, was acquired by the Dodgers from the White Sox last winter with and Frankie Montas for , and . The latter three players went to Cincinnati, which sent to the White Sox.
Johnson, who was the Dodgers' No. 21 prospect, played most of the 2016 season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he hit .261 with a .677 OPS. He played seven games with the Dodgers in a September callup.
