Puig exits early, doesn't expect to miss any time

LOS ANGELES -- Yasiel Puig exited Friday's 5-0 win early against the Rockies after injuring his left shoulder on a slide at home during the seventh inning.
Both Puig and manager Dave Roberts said the early exit would be the only time lost for the right fielder, who should be back in the lineup Saturday.
Usually the one to throw out bold runners, Puig tagged up at third and was thrown out by Rockies left fielder Brandon Barnes. Yasmani Grandal singled with the bases empty in the next at-bat.
"Yasiel had something going on with his [trapezius]," Roberts said. "Slid into home tonight. He'll be fine to play tomorrow, but there was something. Where the game was at, it was his left shoulder, I wanted to get him out of there."
Will Venable, who pinch-hit in the same inning, replaced Puig in right field. Puig is less than two weeks removed from a DL stint with a hamstring injury, so Roberts was likely exercising caution. With another hit Friday, Puig is now hitting .364 (12-for-33) since his return.
