It's been a memorable start to the season for Class A Short Season Staten Island.
A night after falling to Brooklyn, 3-2, in a 20-inning marathon, the Baby Bombers' staff bounced back to toss 10 no-hit innings against the Cyclones before Staten Island dramatically walked it off in the bottom of the 10th to win 2-1.
Headlining the combined no-hitter -- the first combined extra-inning no-hitter in New York-Penn League history -- was 19-year-old righty Drew Finley, who fired six no-hit frames but allowed one earned run in his season debut for Staten Island.

Finley's night began inauspiciously, though. He hit the first batter of the game, walked the next and then, after inducing a groundout, uncorked a wild pitch that led to Brooklyn's lone run. But the Yankees' No. 16 prospect was strong the rest of the way as he ultimately struck out five, issued one walk and hit a pair of batters while throwing 47 of his 74 pitches for strikes in the outing.
Right-hander Josh Roeder replaced Finley in the seventh and proceeded to strike out 10 of the 12 hitters that he faced over four dominant innings. Both hurlers are products of the Yankees' 2015 Draft, when the club selected Finley in the third round and Roeder in the 21st.

Staten Island plated its first run of the game on Kane Sweeney's two-out double in the bottom of the fourth inning, and, appropriately, it was Sweeney, a 29th-round pick in 2015, who sealed the no-hitter with his walk-off single to left field in the 10th.
