"Peterson has been our most consistent hitter all year," manager Luis Salazar told MiLB.com. "He's more strong this year. He's been working to maintain his strength and working on his own particular areas with our hitting coach, Garey Ingram, and it's paid off.
"He's the guy who can be consistent and hit .295. He's the guy in the middle of the lineup who can drive in some runs and tough it out and give you a good AB."
The rest of the best performances from top prospects Sunday
No. 41 overall prospect (Rockies' No. 3) was lights out for Triple-A Albuquerque, striking out nine in five scoreless innings. The righty allowed one hit and one walk in a win for the Isotopes after battling Brewers' No. 4 prospect.
