Dustin Peterson fueled Double-A Mississippi's 6-2 win over Jacksonville on Sunday, driving in five of his team's six runs. Peterson, the Braves' No. 18 prospect, hit 2-for-5 with two home runs. It was his first multihomer game.
The 21-year-old outfielder put the Braves ahead early with a three-run shot in the first inning. Peterson went deep again in the ninth, pushing his home run total to 11 for the year.

"Peterson has been our most consistent hitter all year," manager Luis Salazar told MiLB.com. "He's more strong this year. He's been working to maintain his strength and working on his own particular areas with our hitting coach, Garey Ingram, and it's paid off.
"He's the guy who can be consistent and hit .295. He's the guy in the middle of the lineup who can drive in some runs and tough it out and give you a good AB."

• No. 41 overall prospectJeff Hoffman (Rockies' No. 3) was lights out for Triple-A Albuquerque, striking out nine in five scoreless innings. The righty allowed one hit and one walk in a win for the Isotopes after battling Brewers' No. 4 prospectJosh Hader.
"I think tonight was probably the most consistent I've been," Hoffman said. "My fastball was down to both sides, breaking ball was working at the bottom of the zone and were buried when I wanted them to. I think once the consistency gets there, that's when everything will take off."

• No. 55 overall prospect Nick Gordon (Twins' No. 3) reached base four times in Class A Advanced Fort Myers' 11-9 win, finishing 3-for-5 with a double, a walk and an RBI. In 11 games in August, the 20-year-old shortstop has notched five multihit games, and his three hits Sunday were his most in a game since July 29.
• No. 62 overall prospect Dominic Smith (Mets' No. 2) has been on a tear recently. He finished a triple shy of the cycle in a 3-for-5 performance for Double-A Binghamton on Sunday, and extended his hitting streak to 12 games. Five of those have been multihit games. Smith is batting .299 with 13 home runs and 79 RBIs in 110 games this season.

• No. 74 overall prospect A.J. Puk (A's No. 2) continues to shine in his first pro season. Puk struck out eight in 3 2/3 scoreless innings for Class A Short-Season Vermont. The southpaw allowed one hit and two walks and dropped his ERA to 2.70. The big left-hander was taken No. 6 overall in the 2016 Draft, out of the University of Florida.
• Indians No. 3 prospect Bobby Bradley homered for a third consecutive game for Class A Advanced Lynchburg. The No. 76 overall prospect has a hit in each of his past six games, collecting multiple hits in three of them. The 20-year-old first baseman has gone deep six times this month and leads the Carolina League with 25 home runs and 90 RBIs.
• Blue Jays No. 3 prospect Anthony Alford smacked a leadoff homer for Class A Advanced Dunedin. The No. 98 overall prospect finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs in a 9-2 win over Clearwater. Alford has seven hits, including two homers, and five RBIs over his past four games.
• No. 99 overall prospect Willie Calhoun (Dodgers' No. 4) mashed his 24th and 25th home runs of the season for Double-A Tulsa in an 11-3 win over Frisco. The 21-year-old finished 3-for-5 with the two homers, a double and four RBIs, recording his second three-hit game in the past three days.

• Dodgers No. 5 prospect Yusniel Diaz lit up the box score with a 4-for-6 performance in Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga's 17-8 win against the Visalia Rawhide. Diaz doubled, homered and drove in six runs, establishing new career highs for hits and RBIs.
• Dodgers No. 27 prospect Mitchell Hansen helped propel the Rookie-level Ogden Raptors to a 15-9 win over Billings with a 4-for-4 performance. Hansen contributed a double, a home run (his 10th) and four RBIs. He's logged four consecutive multihit games, batting 10-for-16 with 11 RBIs in that span.
• Astros No. 13 prospect Franklin Perez turned in an impressive outing for Class A Quad Cities, striking out nine over five scoreless innings. Perez, a 2014 international signee, allowed one walk and four hits. The righty has gone scoreless in three of his past four appearances.
• Padres No. 18 prospect Dinelson Lamet twirled six scoreless innings for Double-A San Antonio, striking out nine and allowing just one hit in a win for the Missions. It was the 24-year-old's second consecutive scoreless start, and he sports a 2.96 ERA in 2016.

• Giants No. 27 prospect Cory Taylor spun seven shutout innings for Double-A Richmond, allowing only four hits and striking out eight to beat Bowie for his first win with the Flying Squirrels. In two starts since being promoted to Double-A, the 22-year-old right-hander has given up one earned run in 12 innings.
• Nationals No. 5 prospect Carter Kieboom followed up his first professional home run on Thursday with another on Sunday for Washington's Gulf Coast League affiliate, giving him two in a three-game span. The 18-year-old shortstop, the Nats' first-round pick in the 2016 Draft, went 3-for-4 on Sunday, adding a double to his long ball and notching three RBIs to tie his season high.
• Phillies No. 7 prospect Dylan Cozens hit a solo home run for Double-A Reading, his 33rd homer of the season. The outfielder is second in the Minors in homers, behind teammate Rhys Hoskins (35). It was Cozens' first homer since hitting five over two games in the beginning of August.

• Tigers No. 2 prospect Beau Burrows pitched five scoreless frames of two-hit baseball for Class A West Michigan, in an eventual 4-2 loss to Lansing. The 19-year-old right-hander has lowered his season mark to 3.43 from 3.73 since July 4.
• Tigers No. 8 prospect Mike Gerber opened Double-A Erie's Sunday doubleheader with a monster game at the plate. The 24-year-old went 4-for-4 and mashed two home runs in the first half of the twin bill, driving in four of the SeaWolves' runs in an 8-7 win. In 20 games since being promoted to Double-A, Gerber is batting .280 with three homers and 13 RBIs.
