Andrus, Rangers need All-Star support

May 31st, 2017

ARLINGTON -- Shortstop is a two-time All-Star and has been the Rangers' best offensive player to this point. But he will need a serious push from fans to get back into the race for the starting shortstop spot on the American League All-Star team.
The Rangers were shut out of the top five spots in the infield and at catcher, and in the top 15 spots in the outfield in the latest update of the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot results released Wednesday.
Andrus is deserving of more consideration than he is getting. He went into Wednesday's game with the Rays hitting .288 with 30 runs scored, seven home runs and 27 RBIs.
