Trio combines to throw no-hitter for Greenville Drive

July 20th, 2018

The Red Sox's Class A club, the Greenville Drive, completed a no-hitter Thursday with a twist: The final score in their win over Asheville was 5-1.
Here's how Red Sox prospects fared on Thursday
A combination of starter Enmanuel De Jesus, Devon Fisher and Durbin Feltman held the Rockies' Class A affiliate hitless in a two-hour, 50-minute game at Asheville's McCormick Field. A series of misplays allowed Asheville's lone run to score. Designated hitter Todd Czenge reached after he was hit by a De Jesus pitch (thus spoiling De Jesus' perfect-game bid), advanced to second base on a wild pitch and came around to score on a pair of throwing errors by Greenville catcher Samuel Miranda and second baseman Everlouis Lozada.

Fisher replaced De Jesus after the unearned run scored and got a groundout to end the inning. Feltman worked a clean ninth frame with a pair of strikeouts. Thursday marked the third no-hitter in the Drive's franchise history, and the team's first since Miguel Pena, and Tyler Lockwood combined for a no-no in 2012.
