SEATTLE -- Outfielder Eric Filia, the Mariners' No. 11 prospect per MLB Pipeline, was sent to the Red Sox on Tuesday as the player to be named later from an April 23 trade that brought left-hander Roenis Elias back to Seattle.
The 25-year-old Filia was hitting .426 (23-for-54) with 10 runs, 14 RBIs and a home run in his first 13 games with Double-A Arkansas after sitting out the first 50 games due to a suspension.
Filia was drafted by the Mariners out of UCLA in the 20th round of the 2016 Draft and posted a .326/.407/.434 line with five home runs and 59 RBIs last year in 128 games for Class A Advanced Modesto.
In three Minor League seasons with the Mariners, Filia hit .343 with 10 homers, 119 RBIs and 19 stolen bases in 210 games.
Elias was recently promoted to the Mariners' Major League roster as a long reliever and is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA over six innings in two appearances. The 29-year-old went 15-20 with a 3.97 ERA as a starter for Seattle in 2014-15 before being traded to Boston in '16.
Vincent's return slowed
Initial hopes that reliever Nick Vincent might rejoin the Mariners this week were sidetracked when the right-hander felt some discomfort returning to his right groin muscle midway through a bullpen session on Monday.
Vincent, who has been on the 10-day disabled list for two weeks, will wait now until this weekend or early next week to try throwing off the mound again after being shut down about 13 pitches into a 25-pitch session.
"He still felt it pushing off the rubber," manager Scott Servais said. "He's still playing catch. He's fine on the flat ground, but it's a little different when he gets up on the mound. So we're going to slow him down a little before he goes out on the rehab assignment."

Mariners have signed 29 of 40 Draft picks
Though first-rounder Logan Gilbert remains unsigned, the Mariners announced they have 29 of their 40 selections in last week's Draft now under contract.

Only three of the team's first 10 picks haven't signed, including Gilbert, a right-hander out of Stetson who was selected 14th overall. Also unsigned are Florida State catcher Cal Raleigh (3rd round) and Georgia outfielder Keegan McGovern (9th).
But second-rounder Josh Stowers, an outfielder from Louisville, and 24 of the other top 30 picks are all signed. Stowers signed for a $1.1 million bonus, which is slightly less than the slot value of $1.287 million for his second-round spot. Clubs have until July 6 to sign drafted players with remaining college eligibility.
Worth noting
• Wednesday's 1:10 p.m. PT game against the Angels was chosen by Major League Baseball to be Seattle's second "Facebook Watch" contest of the season, meaning it will only be available on Facebook and the Mariners radio network, but not ROOT Sports.
Rich Waltz will call the play-by-play with analysts Ryan Rowland-Smith and Mark Langston, two former Mariners pitchers, and reporter Elise Woodward.
• The swelling in his right knee has subsided and reliever Juan Nicasio is doing some light throwing to keep his arm active, but the veteran right-hander isn't ready yet to throw off a mound as he recovers from the issue that landed him on the DL last Friday.
• Reliever Dan Altavilla, who also went on the DL on Friday with a strained right elbow, also remains shut down from throwing for now.
"We want to let that totally calm down," said Servais. "He won't throw any time soon."
• Erasmo Ramirez, who made just two April starts before going on the DL with a strained right shoulder, is just beginning to throw and remains a long way from being able to pitch in games. Ramirez missed most of Spring Training and pitched just 9 2/3 innings before being sidelined.
"He needs to get built back up and that's a longer process [for a starter]," Servais said.
