Rangers broadcaster Nadel honored

ARLINGTON -- Rangers broadcaster Eric Nadel has been selected as the 2015 Texas Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
It is the eighth time Nadel has won the award. Nadel, who has been broadcasting the Rangers for 38 years, also won in 1999, 2001-02, '06 and 2009-11. Nadel was inducted into the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame in '12 and was the '14 Ford C. Frick Award winner.
The annual National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Awards Dinner will take place on June 20, 2016, in Salisbury, N.C. The NSSA honors a sportscaster and sportswriter from each of the 50 states as well as national winners each year. The 2015 national winners are Sportscaster of the Year Mike 'Doc' Emrick and Sportswriter of the Year Tom Verducci.
