Longoria still seeking All-Star Game support

June 28th, 2016

ST. PETERSBURG -- With only four days left to vote for starters in this year's All-Star Game, Rays third baseman Evan Longoria hasn't cracked the top five in votes at his position.
Orioles third baseman Manny Machado has a comfortable lead (606,549 votes) over the Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson. They're followed by Mike Moustakas, Adrian Beltre and Nick Castellanos.

Longoria entered Monday's game hitting .269 with 18 home runs and 48 RBIs this season. Since May 28, he's hitting .458 with runners in scoring position.
Longoria could use some more votes in his bid for his fourth All-Star Game, but he's not the only one. There are no Rays that appear in the top five of votes at any position. The only other teams in the AL that join them are the Indians, Twins and Athletics.
