Familiar faces await Buehrle in upcoming start

KANSAS CITY -- Left-hander Mark Buehrle admits it'll feel strange when he takes the mound Monday night and sees some familiar faces in the batter's box.

Buehrle will be going against the Chicago White Sox -- a team he pitched for from 2000-11.

"[Paul] Konerko, watch out," Buehrle said with a smile.

Konerko and Buehrle have been longtime friends, and the two celebrated a World Series title together in 2005. Several others in the White Sox organization go way back with Buehrle, but there won't be any nostalgia once Buehrle gets to the mound. His overriding mission is to do something about his current 10.24 ERA and help the Blue Jays win a ballgame.

"I want to get back on track, [pitch] good," Buehrle said. "I haven't seen those guys for two years, so it's going to be a little weird."
