Fan-chosen award honors top game-changing moments

Free subscription to At Bat app offered exclusively to T-Mobile customers

BELLEVUE, Wash. and NEW YORK -- Over the past year, T-Mobile US, Inc. (NYSE: TMUS) has un-leashed Americans by rewriting the rules of wireless - and they've responded by making T-Mobile America's fastest growing wireless company. Today, America's Un-carrier announced it is teaming up with Major League Baseball to take its people-power movement to America's pastime - with the creation of a new fan-chosen MLB award- the T-Mobile MLB Game Changer Award. This season, T-Mobile will also feature All-Stars Bryce Harper and Andrew McCutchen in a national TV campaign, with a new commercial starring Harper premiering nationally on ESPN's Wednesday Night Baseball.

"T-Mobile set out to fix a broken industry and forever change the game of wireless - so game changers have a special place in my heart," said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. "Which is why this award rocks. Because it recognizes those with the grit and guts to step up and change the trajectory of a game, a season or even baseball history."

"T-Mobile has been a tremendous partner for Major League Baseball, and we applaud their efforts to change the game in wireless," said Tim Brosnan, Executive Vice President, Business, Major League Baseball. "It's fitting that T-Mobile, which prides itself on giving consumers freedom and choice, be the driving force behind an award that empowers fans to choose the most significant game-changing moments in baseball each day."

"Every time you take the field, you want to make that catch or get that hit that changes the course of the game and locks up the win," said Andrew McCutchen, center fielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates and one of T-Mobile's player ambassadors for the 2014 season. "I think it's really cool that fans decide this MLB award, and I'm really excited to try to make that game-changing play that fans will want to vote for at the end of the day."

T-Mobile Game Changer Award

T-Mobile and MLB invite America's baseball faithful to call out the most pivotal game-changing moments throughout the season - with the fans themselves voting for the most significant game-changing moments, and culminating in honors awarded at the close of the season.

T-Mobile MLB Game Changer will live on mlb.com/t-mobile. Each day, beginning at 10:00am ET, fans themselves will be able to vote for one of two game-changing moments - with the Daily Champion advancing to the next day to face a new challenger. During the final week of the season, fans vote for one of the top five Daily Champions. The winner of this fan vote will receive the "T-Mobile MLB Game Changer of the Year" award, presented at the close of the regular season.

Fans voting via Twitter or Facebook using the hashtag #Champion or #Challenger will be entered for a chance to win prizes each week, ranging from game tickets and MLB merchandise to T-Mobile devices and accessories.

T-Mobile MLB Sponsorships

T-Mobile also announced it has renewed its partnership with two-time All-Star Bryce Harper, left fielder for the Washington Nationals and McCutchen, the reigning National League Most Valuable Player. Harper is featured in T-Mobile's new national TV ad campaign, premiering nationally on ESPN's Wednesday Night Baseball. The campaign highlights the crazy restrictions of old-guard wireless carriers - and what might happen if baseball had similarly outrageous rules. For the 2014 season, T-Mobile will also continue its team sponsorships with the Minnesota Twins, Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners and Washington Nationals. And, this year, it will also sponsor the Miami Marlins and the Tampa Bay Rays. Team sponsorships will include player appearances, retail promotions, T-Mobile Title Nights at the park and other fan activities. T-Mobile also has a license agreement with Major League Baseball Players Association.

After sponsoring the T-Mobile All-Star FanFest in 2013, T-Mobile returns as title sponsor of this year's fan-focused event in Minneapolis July 11-15. T-Mobile promises an even bigger and better event this year - with exclusive experiences for T-Mobile customers and all fans of the game.
