Fan Favorite Cookie Rojas to Appear in Kansas City this Weekend

Royals Hall of Famer Cookie Rojas returns to Kansas City on Friday, June 30 for community outreach and broadcast appearances.

Royals Hall of Famer Cookie Rojas returns to Kansas City on Friday, June 30 for community outreach and broadcast appearances.
On Friday afternoon, Rojas will be on hand at the Community Blood Center to promote the Royals Blood Drive. Rojas is scheduled to appear at 2:30 p.m. at the downtown location at 4040 Main St. The Royals Blood Drive will take place from July 3 through July 11.
On Saturday, prior to Game 1 of the split doubleheader, he will sign autographs in the Royals Hall of Fame from noon to 1:15 p.m. The Cuban-born Rojas will join Jose Munoz in the broadcast booth during the Spanish broadcast on La Super Estacion, KYYS 1250 AM.
Rojas played for the Royals for eight seasons, batting .268. The second baseman made the American League All-Star team four times (1971-1974). He was inducted into the Royals Hall of Fame in 1987.
