Early-season baseball often means pitching in the cold, as April temperatures still dip below 60 degrees in many parts of the country. Turns out, data proves that pitching in the cold does in fact adversely affect pitchers, but that the temperature isn't the main culprit. In the video above, Eno Sarris of FanGraphs details the scientific findings he's uncovered by studying pitchers' tendencies in suboptimal conditions.
