March 12th, 2018

MLB.com fantasy expert Zinkie fielded questions from fans during a live Twitter chat (at @fantasy411) on Monday. Read through the best of the Q&A below. Questions and answers have been edited for clarity.
@fernandezzz17: Would you rather have Ronald Acuna or in a keeper league?
Fred Zinkie: That is a really tough call. Assuming it is a keeper league and not a dynasty league, I would keep Hoskins. Especially if I had a chance to win this year.

@TravisGreen05: Is there a specific position to draft last because of it being so deep?
Zinkie: Outfield is typically a good position to wait on. Also, third base is quite deep this year. Finally, you can wait on a catcher in one-catcher leagues.
@BWamps: Please name five prospects that could be stashed at the beginning of the season.
Zinkie: Ronald Acuna, , , , Nick Senzel.

@Manu_Noriega20: Should I draft or first overall this year?
Zinkie: Definitely Trout. Due to injury concerns, Harper should stay on the board until late in Rd. 1.
@PittFan9: I have the fifth pick in my draft. Can you help me make a plan for the first two rounds?
Zinkie: Try to get in Rd. 1 and a hitter such as , or Freddie Freeman in Rd. 2.
@sritsema11: I have the ninth pick in my draft. Which player should I target?
Zinkie: Clayton Kershaw will likely be off the board. is a great option for pick nine. If you are set on taking a hitter, consider Charlie Blackmon or .

@MattHan97693628: I have the last pick in Rd. 1 of my 12-team league. I'm thinking of taking Chris Sale and Corey Kluber, before loading up on power hitters in the next few rounds. Is that a good idea?
Zinkie: Your plan is fine, but you shouldn't feel the need to focus solely on power hitters. You can find power late in your draft as well. Some early-round steals wouldn't hurt.
@gentlm4n: Someone dropped in my roto league. Should I drop to pick him up?
Zinkie: Yes, you should make that switch. DeShields is an exciting 2018 option, but Marte is more of a proven player.
@ScottTStewart: I know that Mike Trout and Clayton Kershaw will be drafted at the start of my draft. Should I take third overall?
Zinkie: For sure. You are stumbling onto a great value pick with Altuve, who is the consensus No. 2 player.

@ThePapa7707: What are your Jeff Samardzija predictions? What is his value in a 12-team league?
Zinkie: He's worthy of being a third starter in a 12-team league.
@Coach_KCool: Would you keep over or Joey Gallo in a keeper league?
Zinkie: Yes, if you can keep Reyes for a long time.

@BillyLessard27: Do you prefer or ? And, or Greg Bird?
Zinkie: Weaver, Braun.
@MikeMat03: What's the best pick to have in a 10-team league?
Zinkie: Picks 1 and 2 are the best ones. After that, you should want to pick 10th.
@Coach_KCool: I planned on keeping Gleyber Torres in my 10-man keeper league. Should I still keep him even after the signing?
Zinkie: Yes, you can still keep him. But you should expect a summer debut, not one early in the season.

@Aka_AK20: Do you expect the same production from this season? If so, what round should I look to get him in?
Zinkie: Severino should have a worthy follow-up to his breakout season. He's a fine choice in Rd. 3.
@fubzeppelin: Should I go with or at third base?
Zinkie: Frazier. Andujar is unlikely to play often enough to help you this year.
@michaelstocklos: I don't want to draft a pitcher in the first round. Which hitters can I consider ninth overall?
Zinkie: Look for Charlie Blackmon or Giancarlo Stanton at that spot.
@DoctorWaldo: Are Maikel Franko and too risky to draft?
Zinkie: Franco is fine in the late rounds of your draft. Don't draft Dahl. He's too far down their depth chart at this point.
@BPalermo1: Who has more value on my bench in redraft league?
Zinkie: Senzel is the one I would keep on your bench.
@tblanks242: Please rank from the next three years; , , Chris Archer, and .
Zinkie: Nola, Martinez, Archer, Keuchel, Arrieta.
