Fergie's favorite players: Rizzo and Baez

When Fergie Jenkins considered his favorite current MLB stars, the Hall of Famer looked at two young players who hope to lead one of his former clubs to the promised land.

The ex-Cubs starter pointed to young Chicago infielders Anthony Rizzo and Javier Baez, both of whom are trying to lead the Cubs to their first World Series title since 1908.

"He's an aggressive hitter," Jenkins said of Baez. "That's what baseball's all about. You can't be passive in the game of baseball."

Baez, 22, will be heading into presumably his first full season with the Cubs, while Rizzo, 25, is set to enter his fourth year in Chicago after an All-Star campaign in 2014.
