First-place Dodgers start three-game Interleague series against the Cleveland Indians tomorrow

LOS ANGELES - The first-place Dodgers' sixth homestand of the season concludes with an Interleague three-game series against the Cleveland Indians, tomorrow, Monday, June 30 (RHP Corey Kluber vs. RHP Dan Haren) at 7:10 p.m., Tuesday, July 1 (RHP Justin Masterson vs. RHP Josh Beckett) at 7:10 p.m. and Wednesday, July 2 (RHP Trevor Bauer vs. LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu) at 12:10 p.m. All auto gates open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow and Tuesday. On Wednesday, all auto gates open at 9:30 a.m. and all stadium gates open at 10:00 a.m.

The latest National League All-Star balloting results were announced last Monday and Yasiel Puig continues to lead all NL outfielders. In addition, first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, second baseman Dee Gordon and shortstop Hanley Ramirez all rank in the top five at their respective position. Tomorrow, 15 Dodgers RBI players, who participated in this season's Mathletics Challenge will watch the game in a suite donated to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) by Andre Ethier. Mathletics, a Los Angeles Dodgers program, combines math strategies and baseball in an effort to raise the math interest level of students. During this inaugural Dodgers RBI season, all players in grades 1-8 were required to complete the Dodgers Mathletics workbook. Dodgers RBI believes that making baseball accessible to inner-city youth can make a difference on the field, at school, in the community and in their futures.

The California Youth Spirit Corps (CYSC) will perform their award-winning routines pregame. Performers represent various Southern California cities and range in age from 5 to 14 years-old. This year marks their 3rd annual event at Dodger Stadium and they have sold more than 3,500 tickets. CYSC's mission is to teach the youth in each community not only cheer and dance, but pride, sportsmanship, and a feeling of a job well done.

The Veteran of the Game presented by Bank of America is U.S. Army Major General Paul E. Funk II. Watching his father return home from serving in Vietnam, Funk decided to follow in the same footsteps as his father, joined the Army and was commissioned in 1984. Funk is the Commanding General for the 1st Infantry Division known as "the Big Red One" at Fort Riley, Kansas. He has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. His accolades include the Legion of Merit with three Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, The Combat Action Badge and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Bank of America will be presenting an authenticated flag and display case to Funk. He will be honored with a piece of Dodger history, a flag that has flown over Dodger Stadium. Gregg Hall an Army veteran and now Bank of America Regional Director of Global Corporate Security will present the flag on behalf of Bank of America.

Tomorrow, Monday, June 30

The Dodgers take on the Indians at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday. All auto gates open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 5:00 p.m. The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive an Adult Don Newcombe Replica Brooklyn jersey presented by Time Warner Cable. Newcombe will throw the ceremonial first pitch Tuesday and closer Kenley Jansen will catch his first pitch.

Chris Mann, classically trained singer-songwriter who finished 4th on "The Voice" season 2 on Team Christina Aguilera will perform the national anthem. Dodger Alumni League member Tim Leary will sign autographs in the right-field pavilion plaza and Alumni Leaguer "Sweet" Lou Johnson will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion plaza from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A DJ will provide musical entertainment in the right-field pavilion plaza.

The Veteran of the Game presented by Bank of America is U.S. Air Force Colonel John Tree, who is currently serving with the Air Force Reserve as a Key Senior Leader to the Director of Resource Integration at the Pentagon. Following in his father's footsteps, Tree joined the Air Force following his graduation from the Air Force Academy and served in active duty for seven years. Throughout his career he has been deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, twice to Haiti and Germany and in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Tree's accolades include the Humanitarian Service Medal with one Device, NATO Medal and the Air Force Expeditionary Service Medal.  

Tuesday, July 1

The Dodgers conclude their Interleague series against the Indians at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday. All auto gates open at 9:30 a.m. and all stadium gates open at 10:00 a.m. American Bladerunner, Blake Leeper, a Silver and Bronze medalist in the 2012 Paralympic Games in London will throw the ceremonial first pitch.

Dodger Alumni League member Matt Luke will sign autographs in the right-field pavilion plaza and Alumni Leaguer Derrel Thomas will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion plaza from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A DJ will provide musical entertainment in the right-field pavilion plaza.

Camps from throughout Southern California will be in attendance today. Groups of 30 or more will receive a Dodger baseball cap. LA Parks and Recreation will have more than 1,800 kids in attendance. Executive Director Stephanie Stevens will throw the ceremonial first pitch.

The Veteran of the Game presented by Bank of America is U.S. Army Sergeant Alvin Blinder, a longtime Dodger fan. Blinder was drafted in 1943 to lend support to World War II efforts and served with the 16th infantry division for General Patton's 3rd Army, serving as communication between platoons, Company Headquarters and the First Battalion Headquarters. Sergeant Blinder fought in Metz Chateau Salins, Vic-sur-Seille France defeating part of the German First Army. Blinder's accolades include the Combat Infantry Badge and the Purple Heart.

Wednesday, July 2

The Dodgers' auto gates are open 2.5 hours before game time and the stadium gates are open two hours before the scheduled first pitch. Fans taking advantage of this early arrival time can enjoy various family-friendly activities as soon as gates open throughout Dodger Stadium including in the newly enhanced right and left-field pavilion plazas which feature the Budweiser and Bud Light bullpen overlook bars and the new Tommy Lasorda Trattoria and the Think Blue BBQ. In the left and right-field pavilion plazas, there are also plenty of photo opportunities with Dodger memorabilia, including five-foot diameter World Series rings, an eight-foot replica of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, a life-size statue of the iconic Farmer John Dodger Dog, interactive replicas of the 76 ball and various bobbleheads. Autographs for fans with Dodger Alumni League members and family friendly activities also take place before each game in the pavilion plazas and reserve level plazas.

On July 1, the 5K registration increases to $45 and Kids Fun Run remains at $25. The Dodgers Youth Baseball Camp, presented by Sports Authority, are holding Session 1 of camp at Dodger Stadium which continues through Tuesday. Campers will learn about hitting, fielding, base running, throwing and pitching as well as team play, sportsmanship and conditioning. Camp instructors include Dodger coaches Rick Honeycutt, Ken Howell, Lorenzo Bundy, Chuck Crim, John Valentin and Steve Yeager, along with Dodger Alumni Manny Mota, Matt Luke, Derrel Thomas, Al Ferrara, Billy Ashley and Kenny Landreaux. A current Dodger player is scheduled to visit campers on June 27 and June 30. All camp sessions are sold out.
