First-Place Dodgers Take On Colorado Tomorrow Through Sunday

LOS ANGELES - The Dodgers' fourth homestand of the season concludes with a four-game series against the Colorado Rockies, Thursday, May 14 (RHP Chad Bettis vs. LHP Brett Anderson), Friday, May 15 (RHP Eddie Butler vs. LHP Clayton Kershaw), Saturday, May 16, (LHP Jorge De La Rosa vs. RHP Zack Greinke) and Sunday, May 17 (RHP Kyle Kendrick vs. RHP Mike Bolsinger). Games Thursday and Friday against the Rockies begin at 7:10 p.m. with auto gates opening at 4:40 p.m. and stadium gates opening at 5:10 p.m., Saturday's game is at 6:10 p.m. with auto gates opening at 3:30 p.m. and stadium gates at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday's contest starts at 1:10 p.m. with auto gates opening at 10:40 a.m. and stadium gates at 11:10 a.m. Tickets for all games against Colorado can be purchased by calling 866-DODGERS or by visiting www.dodgers.com/tickets.

The first 40,000 fans in attendance tomorrow will receive the third of eight Cy Young collectible pins, Cy Young Collectors' Pin Series Sandy Koufax presented by 76 (image attached). The Mirman School Concert Singers will perform the national anthem. Under the direction of Paul Kay, the Mirman School of Concert Singers is an award-winning middle school choir from Los Angeles that has performed in New York's Carnegie Hall and across the country and abroad. Dodger alumnus Mickey Hatcher will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Military Hero of the Game is U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Luis Martinez of Salinas. Martinez enlisted in 2006 and in 2009 was assigned to Marine Expeditionary Force Group MHG where he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He then transferred to 2nd Battalion 3rd Marines in Hawaii where he completed one Unit Deployment Program to Okinawa Japan for six months.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) conducts silent auctions throughout the season featuring more than 25 signed pieces of memorabilia from Dodger players, coaches and alumni. Auctions will take place behind the Vin Scully press box on the club level. The items up for auction on Friday include an Andre Ethier autographed photo, Howie Kendrick autographed baseball and an Adrian Gonzalez autographed Dodger jersey. The auction will end at 8:45 p.m.

Thursday, May 14

Fans are invited onto the field for Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny's immediately following Friday's game. The fireworks show will be set to songs of 1965, when the Dodgers won their fourth World Series. In an effort to continue to be good neighbors to the residents surrounding Dodger Stadium, fireworks shows will take place before 11:00 p.m. and are subject to cancellation due to length of game.

Mike Kiley, Chief Executive Officer of Security Benefit Corporation, a company that has been helping Americans to and through retirement for more than 120 years and a Dodger partner, will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Pregame entertainment will also include a stilt walker in the left-field plaza and a DJ ADM in the right-field plaza from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Dodger alumnus Dennis Powell will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Military Hero of the Game is U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class Cynthia Velasco of Los Angeles. Velasco served in the 2004 RIMPAC deployment, several West Pacific deployments and in the Operation Tomodachi humanitarian relief in 2001. She is the recipient of three Navy and Marine Corps achievement medals.

As part of Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball presented by Nike, 750 youth from Irving STEAM Magnet Middle School in Los Angeles, Autism Spectrum Athletics in San Dimas, Ocean View District School in Oxnard and Washington Prep High School of South Los Angeles will be in attendance. Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball provides Los Angeles area inner-city youth with a Dodger game experience courtesy of the Dodgers. Transportation to and from Dodger Stadium in a customized Dodger bus, Reserve level tickets, a voucher for a Dodger Dog and beverage and a Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball T-shirt are included.

Girl Scout troops and their family and friends are invited to purchase a special $25 ticket package that includes an infield reserve ticket, a commemorative Girl Scout patch and a Dodgers-themed giveaway item for Friday's game. Friday, May 15

The Dodgers take on the Rockies at 6:10 p.m. Saturday. All auto gates open at 3:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 3:30 p.m. for the Old-Timers' Game presented by Security Benefit. The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a 1965 World Series Replica Ring presented by Security Benefit (image attached). Dodger greats Fernando Valenzuela, Orel Hershiser, Ron Cey, Bill Russell, Davey Lopes, Rick Monday, Reggie Smith, Eric Karros and Nomar Garciaparra will lead a host of Dodgers in the Old-Timers' game following introductions beginning at 4:00 p.m. 

The stars of the Dodgers' 1965 World Championship team - Sandy Koufax, Tommy Davis, Maury Wills, Wally Moon, Ron Perranoski, Wes Parker, Jeff Torborg, Ron Fairly, Al Ferrara and Lou Johnson-will also return to Dodger Stadium for the Old-Timers' festivities. In addition to saluting the 11 members of the 1965 team, the Dodgers will also acknowledge members of the organization's first World Championship in 1955 when the team beat the New York Yankees in seven games, capped by a 2-0 shutout by the late Johnny Podres. Five members of the 1955 Dodgers will be part of the festivities--Koufax, Tommy Lasorda, Don Newcombe, Ed Roebuck and Roger Craig.

The Old-Timers' Game rosters will also feature Chan Ho Park, Tommy John, Pedro Guerrero, Mickey Hatcher, Steve Sax, Tim Wallach, Steve Yeager, Rick Honeycutt, Eric Gagne, Charlie Hough, Manny Mota, Shawn Green, Ken Landreaux, Steve Finley, Todd Zeile, Mike Marshall and Jerry Hairston Jr. More information can be found by visiting www.dodgers.com/oldtimersgame. Former Brooklyn Dodger pitcher Ralph Mauriello will perform the national anthem. Members of the 1965 World Series team - Koufax, Davis, Wills, Moon, Perranoski, Parker, Torborg, Fairly, Ferrara and Johnson - will participate in the ceremonial first pitch. Pregame entertainment will also include a balloon artist in the left-field plaza, DJ Adam in the right-field plaza, Angela Mukul in the left-field reserve plaza and The Smokin' Cobras in the right-field reserve plaza from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

As part of Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball presented by Nike, 400 youth from Amino Watts College Preparatory Academy in Watts, Lot 318 in Placentia, South Gate Middle School, Selma Avenue Elementary School of Los Angeles and West Adams Preparatory High School of South Los Angeles will be in attendance. Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball provides Los Angeles area inner-city youth with a Dodger game experience courtesy of the Dodgers. The Military Hero of the Game is U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class Adrian Camacho of Los Angeles. Camacho has been stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Bahrain, Hawaii and throughout California. Camacho is currently stationed at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego.

Saturday, May 16

The Dodgers conclude their series against the Rockies and the seven-game homestand at 1:10 p.m. Sunday. All auto gates open at 10:40 a.m. and all stadium gates open at 11:10 a.m. Dodger alumnus Matt Luke will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Viva Los Dodgers presented by State Farm and Time Warner Cable at the historic 76 station begins at 11:00 a.m. Dodger alumnus and broadcaster Manny Mota will sign autographs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Musical entertainment will be provided by Louie Cruz Beltran and La Sirena y Orquesta Mar de Ashé. Beltran will also perform the national anthem. Levy Restaurants offers Dodger dogs, carne asada tacos and Montejo beer for purchase at Viva Los Dodgers.

Viva Los Dodgers takes place each Sunday of every homestand two hours prior to game. The season-long initiative celebrates Latino culture in Los Angeles and the legacy of Latino Dodgers past and present at a family-friendly pregame festival at the historic 76 station. All fans are welcome and can attend with a ticket to Sunday's game.

As part of Adrian Gonzalez's Viva Los Dodgers program, families from the Salvation Army's Red Shield Youth and Community Center, located two miles south of Dodger Stadium, will attend Sunday's game courtesy of Gonzalez and wife Betsy. The Gonzalez family play host to 72 fans per Sunday home game (18 families of four) and provide one parking pass per each group of four throughout the 2015 season. Tickets in the All-You-Can-Eat right-field pavilion are provided and include unlimited Dodger dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts and Coca-Cola products. The Dodgers will also present a community hero award to Salvation Army's Red Shield Youth and Community Center's Executive Director Irene De Anda Lewis.

The Military Hero of the Game is U.S. Marine Corps Private First Class Joseph Godges of Rozlopy, Poland. Godges enlisted during World War II. On July 29, 1944, after eight days of fighting on Guam, he witnessed the official raising of the U.S. flag over the ruins of the former U.S. Marine barracks on Guam, an unforgettable moment for Godges.

The Dodgers will host their first Yoga Day at Dodger Stadium and are offering a ticket package that includes a game ticket, a Dodger Yoga mat (image attached) and a postgame Yoga session on the field with certified Yoga teachers. Sunday, and for most Sunday home games, children 14 and under can run around the same bases for Kids Run the Bases presented by New Balance. Youngsters can enter through center field following the game.
