In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Carlos Ruiz brought his popular Chooch's Chicos community program to Dodger Stadium Monday. Ruiz plays host to 100 guests, 700 total, for each of the remaining home games which continues through Sunday. Ruiz provides a special game day experience for low-income families in partnership with the Housing Authority of Los Angeles (HACLA). Ruiz also provides transportation to and from Dodger Stadium. All groups meet Ruiz and each child receives a Dodger hat and T-shirt. Each participant receives one ticket, courtesy of Ruiz, in the All-You-Can-Eat right-field pavilion which includes unlimited Dodger dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts and Coca-Cola products.
The first 40,000 fans in attendance tomorrow will receive a Retired Numbers Pin Series #2 Tommy Lasorda presented by 76 pin. The Dodgers will celebrate Tommy Lasorda's birthday and American comic-book writer and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics, Stan Lee, will throw the ceremonial first pitch.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Dodgers are offering fans a special-event ticket package. It includes a ticket to the game Thursday and a limited-edition Fernando Valenzuela/Hispanic Heritage T-shirt (image attached) which was chosen by Valenzuela. It features "Los Dodgers" on the front and Valenzuela and number 34 on the back. It incorporates green, red and white, the colors of the Mexican flag, in honor of Valenzuela's Mexican heritage. The Military Hero of the Game is World War II veteran U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class Ernest Thompson of Los Angeles. Thompson, a plank-owner of the USS Missouri, witnessed the end of World War II while aboard the USS Missouri on September 2, 1945. Prior to World War II, he served aboard the USS Tennessee, where he played on their baseball team from 1937-1940. Thompson was recently honored by chief selects of the Navy Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Center at his home, which was captured in a video that went viral. He will be joined at Dodger Stadium by his family and members of the U.S. Navy Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Center and Battleship IOWA

The Dodgers take on the Rockies at 7:20 p.m. Friday and the Dodgers will kick off Vin Scully Weekend with Vin Scully Appreciation Day. The first 50,000 fans in attendance will receive a Vin Scully letter of dedication to fans. Pregame ceremonies honoring Scully begin at 6:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Auto gates open at 4:10 p.m. and stadium gates open at 4:40 p.m. Scully's special letter dedicated to Dodger fans will be distributed at stadium gates Friday starting at 4:40 p.m. DJ Sean will provide entertainment in the right-field plaza and a flash tattoo artist will be in the left-field plaza Saturday from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.
Pregame ceremonies honoring Scully will begin with a video tribute narrated by Bob Costas followed by an on-field celebration of Scully's career emceed by Dodger broadcaster Charley Steiner. Special guests scheduled to make remarks include: Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Costner, Hall of Famer Jaime Jarrín, Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred, Dodger Chairman Mark Walter and Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax. Scully will be joined on field by his wife, Sandra. Scully's tribute Friday will be broadcast live on AM 570 KLAC and televised live on KTLA, SportsNetLA and on SportsNetLA's Spanish-language telecast.
Scully is in his 67th and final season in the broadcast booth for the Dodgers. The Hall of Famer's 67 years of consecutive service with the Dodger organization is the longest of any sports broadcaster with one team. The Dodgers are currently unveiling Scully's top 20 Dodger calls which began August 13 and were selected by fan vote. The unveiling of the top two calls will take place Friday.
Fans are invited onto the field for Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny's immediately following the game. Friday's show will be set to the top calls of Scully's one-of-a-kind career, In an effort to continue to be good neighbors to the residents surrounding Dodger Stadium, fireworks shows will take place before 11:00 p.m. and are subject to cancellation due to length of game.
The Military Hero of the Game is U.S. Navy Master Chief Phillip Rockwell of Oxnard. Rockwell entered the Navy in 1996. After completing Radioman "A" school in San Diego and an assignment in Diego Garcia, BIOT, he deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Southern Watch. Rockwell transitioned to the reserve component in 2005, and was assigned to HQ, US Pacific Command. In 2007, he deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, and in 2012 he completed an 18-month active duty with Joint Interagency Task Force West. Immediately following this tour, he mobilized and deployed to Djibouti, Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

All auto gates open early at 2:10 p.m. for La Gran Fiesta Viva Los Dodgers presented by State Farm, Time Warner Cable and Coca-Cola and all stadium gates open at 3:40 p.m. The first 50,000 fans in attendance will receive a Vin Scully limited edition commemorative coin. The 39 millimeter solid bronze Vin Scully limited edition commemorative coin is minted with an image of Scully with his signature greeting quote on the front and the Dodgers' established date on the back. This unique coin is delivered in a protective flip pouch with a certificate, will be individually numbered and is available only to the first 50,000 fans in attendance Saturday.

Adrián González will play host to his final group of the season, the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, through his Viva Los Dodgers program, which celebrates Hispanic Heritage throughout the season. The González family plays host to 72 fans per Sunday home game, Viva Los Dodgers, (18 families of four) and provides one parking pass per each group of four throughout the 2016 season and has done so since 2013. Tickets in the All-You-Can-Eat right-field pavilion are provided and include unlimited Dodger dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts and Coca-Cola products.
The Dodgers join MLB in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanic Heritage Month is an extension of the league's Ponle Acento campaign, which translates into "put an accent on it." Ponle Acento was created to highlight the distinctive mark that MLB's Latino players and fans leave on the game. MLB has added an accent mark to its silhouetted batter logo in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month. The special MLB Acento logo will be used in ballparks, MLB traditional and social media, and on batting practice T-shirts worn by Dodger players Saturday. At least 235 players who appeared on Opening Day rosters were of Latino descent, which is more than 27 percent of the league. At least 25 players and on-field staff have added diacritics (i.e. accent, tilde) to the last name on their uniforms in the past two seasons, including De León, González, Hernández and Urías of the Dodgers.

The Military Hero of the Game is U.S. Navy Senior Chief Daniel J. Herrera of Oxnard. Herrera enlisted in the Navy in 1998. After completing Engineman "A" school, he was sent to Sasebo, Japan, where he reported onboard the USS Fort McHenry. During his tour, he completed several deployments to Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, Philippines and Guam. His service also included deployments to support Operation Iraqi Freedom 2005-2009. Herrera was selected for assignments with the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific. He served as Lead Outboard Motor Instructor and was selected as Command Sailor of the Year in 2008. Herrera transitioned to the Navy Reserves in 2009, serving as Leading Chief Petty Officer and currently serves at the Senior Enlisted Leader for Assault Craft Unit One.

The Dodgers conclude their final homestand of the regular season at 1:10 p.m. Sunday against the Rockies. Sunday's game also marks the last Dodger home game Vin Scully will call. The first 50,000 fans in attendance Sunday will receive a special commemorative edition of Dodger Insider magazine celebrating the life and career of Scully. The September 25 edition comes with the special commemorative cover and will be distributed at the ticket gates to incoming fans.
Fan Appreciation Day takes places with various giveaways and will also feature tributes to Scully throughout the day as part of Vin Scully Weekend. The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) will auction a Scully autographed baseball with all proceeds going to youth sports, specifically its Dodgers Dreamfields and Dodgers RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) programs. The Military Hero of the Game is U.S. Army First Sergeant Robert Manzano of Los Angeles. After serving 20 years on active duty, Manzano is now a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer. Manzano held various positions, including infantryman, military police investigator and recruiter. He served two tours in Germany, and deployed to Russia in 1994 and the Ukraine in 1995 as part of the Partnership for Peace. He was stationed in Germany when the Berlin Wall came down. His military awards and decorations include five Army Achievement Medals, six Army Commendation Medals and two National Defense Service Medals. Manzano is a recruiter for the CHP Southern Division (Los Angeles County) Recruitment Unit in Glendale.

LADF holds a charitable in-game raffle to benefit its programs and local youth organizations every home game. Raffle tickets at every Dodger home game are available at three price points: three for $5, 10 for $10 and 40 for $20. Sellers will also be roving throughout Dodger Stadium concourses and seating areas in top deck, reserve, club, loge, field and pavilion sections. The Dodger Stadium Express offers two express services to Dodger Stadium: the Dodger Stadium Express Union Station and the Dodger Stadium Express South Bay.
