HOUSTON, TX - Major League Baseball released the rosters for the 2017 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game today, which feature three Astros players. Outfielders Derek Fisher and Kyle Tucker have been named to the U.S. Team roster, while outfielder Yordan Alvarez will represent Houston as a member of the World Team.

The Astros are one of four organizations with three players named to the 2017 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, along with the Tampa Bay Rays, Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers.

Fisher, 23, has had a tremendous season at Triple A Fresno, where he was recently named a 2017 Triple A All-Star. In 67 games with the Grizzlies, Fisher has hit .313 (85x272) with 20 doubles, one triple, 17 home runs, 50 RBI, 13 stolen bases and a .957 OPS (.376 OBP/.581 SLG). Ranked by MLB.com as the Astros No. 4 prospect, Fisher had a strong five-game showing at the Major League level with Houston earlier this month, as he hit .278 (5x18) with two home runs, three RBI and a .992 OPS (.381 OBP/.611 SLG) in five starts in left field. Fisher was selected by the Astros with the 37th overall pick in the 2014 draft out of the University of Virginia.

Tucker, 20, is ranked by MLB.com as the Astros No. 2 prospect and has had great success at two separate levels in the minor leagues this season despite his young age. In 73 combined games between Double A Corpus Christi (25g) and Class A Advanced Buies Creek (48g), Tucker has hit .277 (78x282) with 19 doubles, five triples, 15 home runs, 60 RBI, 17 stolen bases and an .892 OPS (.353 OBP/.539 SLG). The left-handed hitter is currently the second-youngest player in the Double A Texas League, where he has clubbed seven doubles and six homers to go along with an .821 OPS in his first 25 games at the level. He was selected by Houston with the fifth overall pick in the first round of the 2015 draft.

Alvarez, 20, has been one of the hottest hitting prospects in the minor leagues since making his 2017 debut in May. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound left-handed hitter batted .360 (40x111) with six doubles, nine home runs, 33 RBI and a 1.125 OPS (.468 OBP/.658 SLG) in 32 games at Class A Quad Cities and was named a 2017 Midwest League All-Star. Last week, Alvarez was promoted to Class A Advanced Buies Creek, where he homered in his first game at the level. Alvarez was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers last season in exchange for right-handed pitcher Josh Fields on Aug. 1.

This marks the second time in club history that the Astros have had three players selected to the Futures Game, as Carlos Correa, Delino DeShields and George Springer all represented the Astros at the 2013 Futures Game.

The Futures Game began in 1999, and since then the Astros have had a number of notable players participate in the game. Last year, Alex Bregman went 3x5 and fell a home run shy of the cycle, while Joe Musgrove threw a perfect first inning as the starting pitcher for the U.S. Team. Current Astros players who were also Futures Game participants include Jose Altuve (2011) and Michael Feliz (2014).

The 2017 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game will be played on Sunday, July 9 at 3:00 p.m. CT at Marlins Park.
