D-backs right-hander Jorge Despaigne, who is currently with the rookie-level Dominican Summer League D-backs, received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.
Yankees outfielder Edel Luaces, who is currently with the rookie-level Gulf Coast League Yankees, received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Amphetamine.
Yankees outfielder Erick Mendez, who is currently with the rookie-level Pulaski Yankees of the Appalachian League, received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Propylhexedrine.
Blue Jays catcher Cameron O'Brien, who is currently with the rookie-level Bluefield Blue Jays of the Appalachian League, received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Amphetamine.
Orioles catcher Chris O'Brien, who is currently with the Double-A Bowie Baysox of the Eastern League, received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Amphetamine.
The suspensions of all five players will be effective at the start of their respective 2017 seasons.
