Five Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that five Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that five Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Seattle Mariners Minor League pitcher Yeisel De Los Santos, who is currently on the Club's Dominican Summer League roster, has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance.  
Atlanta Braves Minor League pitcher Joselin Vallejo, who is currently on the Club's Dominican Summer League roster, has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance.  
Chicago Cubs Minor League pitcher Saul Vazquez, who is currently on the Club's Dominican Summer League roster, has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Nandrolone, a performance-enhancing substance.  
Tampa Bay Rays Minor League outfielder David Olmedo-Barrera, who is currently on the roster of Single-A Charlotte of the Florida State League, has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Dehydrochlormethyltestosterone ("DHCMT"), a performance-enhancing substance.  
Minor League pitcher Antonio Bastardo, who is currently a free agent, has received a 140-game suspension without pay under after testing positive for Stanozolol, his second violation of a Major League Baseball Drug Program involving a performance-enhancing substance. The suspension of Bastardo will conclude at the end of the 2018 Minor League season.
