White Sox players progressing after surgeries

CHICAGO -- Here are a few injury updates from the White Sox concerning players who had surgical procedures around the end of last season. All players should be able to start working out around Dec. 1.

Tyler Flowers: The White Sox catcher already has pretty much full range of motion in his right knee and very little swelling after arthroscopic surgery to remove loose pieces of cartilage and take care of a baker's cyst.

Micah Johnson: The left-handed-hitting second baseman is rehabbing his left knee after undergoing a general cleanup procedure at Rush University Medical Center on Oct. 1. The knee is structurally fine.

Adam Eaton: The leadoff man underwent a nerve decompression in the back of his left shoulder the day after the season at Rush. He is rehabbing in Michigan and reports the strength is coming along well.

Rob Brantly: The reserve catcher had part of the meniscus removed from his left knee following the season. He is rehabbing in California and reports he feels great.
