For time being, Detwiler to stay off DL

SAN DIEGO -- It looks like left-hander Ross Detwiler will not go on the disabled list, according to manager Davey Johnson. However, Detwiler will miss his scheduled start on Monday against the Giants because of a right oblique strain.

Johnson said the oblique is getting better and it's possible Detwiler will miss just the one start. If it continues to get better, Detwiler will play catch Tuesday. Then Johnson will start lining him up for a return to the rotation.

Left-hander Zach Duke will take his spot in the rotation Monday.
