Former Phillie Roberson belts 13th-inning walk-off

Kouzmanoff also homers, drives in two in Mexicali win over Obregon

Mexican Pacific League

Mexicali 3, Obregon 2 (F/13)
In Monday's only Winter League action, a pair of former big leaguers came through for Mexicali in its extra-inning victory. Kevin Kouzmanoff, who split six big league seasons between the Padres, Athletics, Rockies and Indians from 2006-11, hit a solo home run to put Mexicali on the board in the fourth inning, and former Phillies outfielder Chris Roberson later hit a walk-off homer in the 13th. Roberson played 85 games for Philadelphia from 2006-07.

Prior to Roberson's game-winning blast, Kouzmanoff had also helped Mexicali even the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with a sacrifice fly. Mexicali allowed just one hit over the first nine innings -- and three total -- as it improved to 3-1 on the season. Obregon fell to 1-3. Box score

Hermosillo, Navojoa PPD
