The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that four Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Toronto Blue Jays Minor League outfielder David Harris has received a 76-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2 (GHRP-2), a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program. The suspension of Harris, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League, is effective immediately.
Los Angeles Dodgers Minor League right-handed pitcher Sebastian Martinez has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol and Furosemide, performance-enhancing substances in violation of the Program. The suspension of Martinez, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Dodgers, will be effective at the start of the 2016 DSL season.
Colorado Rockies Minor League right-handed pitcher Jose Rodriguez has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Boldenone, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program. The suspension of Rodriguez, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Rockies, will be effective at the start of the 2016 DSL season.
Seattle Mariners Minor League right-handed pitcher Jose Luis Santiago has received a 76-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program. The suspension of Santiago, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Everett AquaSox of the Northwest League, is effective at the start of the 2016 NWL season.
