Outfielder hits two homers day after six-RBI game

A day after driving in six runs with four hits and a homer, Lake Elsinore outfielder Franmil Reyes hit two more homers to drive in three runs in the Class A Advanced Storm's 7-4 win at Lancaster.
Reyes, 20, has three homers and nine RBIs in a span of two games, giving him 13 homers and 73 RBIs on the season. He ranks second in the California League in RBIs. Reyes is hitting .259. Catcher A.J. Kennedy (290) was 3-for-4 with his first homer and three runs scored as Lake Elsinore improved to 23-17 in the second half and evened its season record at 55-55.
Left fielder Edwin Moreno (.272) was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs. Center fielder Michael Gettys (.296) was 2-for-4.
Left-handed starter Jerry Keel allowed two runs on five hits and four walks with four strikeouts in six innings to win his Lake Elsinore debut.
Right-hander Ben Paullus (4.86 ERA) allowed a run on a hit with three strikeouts in two innings. Righty Colby Blueberg (2.94 ERA) allowed an unearned run on two hits in an inning.
There were more roster moves on Wednesday. Infielder Nick Vitter was promoted from Class A Fort Wayne to Double-A San Antonio.
Center fielder Rod Boykin was activated from Fort Wayne's disabled list. Left-handed pitcher and right-handed pitcher Corey Kimber were transferred from Class A Short-Season Tri-City to Fort Wayne. Righty pitchers Braxton Lorenzini and Will Stillman were transferred from Fort Wayne to Tri-City. Infielder/outfielder Kodie Tidwell was transferred from the Fort Wayne DL to the Rookie-level Arizona Padres on rehab assignment.

RHP Grant Zawadzki (4.08) struck out two in 1 1/3 perfect innings. RHP Starlin Cordero (3.00) issued a walk with two strikeouts in two otherwise perfect innings. RHP Jim McDade (2.01) gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits in an inning. RHP Dominic DiSabatino (16.62) issued a walk with a strikeout in a hitless/scoreless inning.
