RHP Huffman leads streaking Lake Elsinore to win

Gabriel Quintana scored a walk-off run for the second time in as many extra-inning wins for Double-A San Antonio on Saturday night and right-hander Chris Huffman allowed one earned run in five innings for Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore as the Missions as the Storm continued its strong second half start.
Huffman (9-3, 2.95 ERA) allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks, with seven strikeouts in five innings as the Storm defeated Rancho Cucamonga, 5-2, at Lake Elsinore for their 10th win in 11 games. Lake Elsinore is 19-10 in the second half with an overall 51-48 record in the California League.
Left-hander Trevor Seidenberger (5.98) followed Huffman and allowed two hits with three strikeouts in 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Right-hander Mark Zimmerman, who was promoted from short-season Class A Tri-City, allowed a hit and struck out a batter in 2 1/3 scoreless innings to record his first save.
Center fielder Edwin Moreno (.253) had two doubles and two runs scored in four at-bats for the Storm. Third baseman Ty France (.348) was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Right-fielder Franmil Reyes (.242) was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Quintana, who hit a walk-off homer in the 10th inning Friday night, singled opening the 11th on Saturday and scored on a single by catcher to give San Antonio a 3-2 win over Midland at Wolff Stadium. San Antonio is 14-15 in the second half of the Texas League, but only 36-63 overall.
Third baseman Quintana (.260) was 3-for-5 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored. Second baseman Nelson Ward (.234) was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.
Right-handed starter Dinelson Lamet (3.97 ERA) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks, with eight strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings for the Missions.
Left-hander (0.00) allowed a hit and a walk in 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Left-hander (0.87) struck out two in two perfect innings. Right-hander Jason Jester (1-1, 2.61) allowed a hit with a strikeout in two scoreless innings.
AROUND THE FARM:
TRIPLE-A EL PASO (57-43) -- SACRAMENTO 12, Chihuahuas 0: 1B (.433) was 2-for-3 with a walk. 3B (.324) was 2-for-3. Starting LHP (4-4, 5.10 ERA) allowed nine runs on 14 hits and a walk, with five strikeouts in three innings. RHP (4.22) struck out three in three perfect innings. RHP Michael Dimock (4.45) allowed two hits with a strikeout in a scoreless inning. Infielder pitched an inning and allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits.
CLASS A FORT WAYNE (9-19, 45-53) -- The TinCaps were rained out at Beloit Saturday night and will play a doubleheader Sunday.
SHORT-SEASON CLASS A TRI-CITY (18-18) -- HILLSBORO 6, Dust Devils 2: 2B Nate Easley (.281) was 1-for-2 with two walks. SS Chris Baker (.295) was 1-for-4 with a double, a steal and an RBI. Starting LHP Joey Lucchesi (2.50 ERA) allowed two hits, with four strikeouts in three scoreless innings. RHP Braxton Lorenzini (1-2, 9.74) allowed five runs (three earned) on two hits and three walks, with six strikeouts in three innings. RHP Dalton Erb (3.00) allowed a hit with two strikeouts in two scoreless innings. RHP Chasen Ford (6.00) gave up an unearned run on two hits and a walk, with a strikeout in one inning.
ARIZONA ROOKIE PADRES (11-15) -- ROYALS 8, Padres 5: SS Hudson Potts (.305) was 3-for-4 with a double, a RBI and a run scored. CF Dayon Olmo (.259) had a triple and a home run in five at-bats with two runs scored. LF Jack Suwinski (.233) had a two-run double in four at-bats. Starting RHP Jean Garcia (2.90 ERA) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks, with two strikeouts in five innings. RHP Juan Arias (0-1, 12.71) allowed four runs on three hits and a walk without retiring a hitter. RHP Grant Zawadzki (4.88) allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits with a strikeout in one inning. RHP Andres Munoz (5.06) struck out the side in his inning. RHP Dom DiSabatino (20.25) allowed a hit in a scoreless inning.

CF Edward Burgos (.325) was 2-for-5 with a run scored. C Janigson Villalobos (.273) was 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored. RHP Dauris Valdez (2.87 ERA) allowed five runs on 10 hits, with six strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. RHP Adonis Santana (7.88) allowed four runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks, with three strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.
