5050 Central Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gaming Nation Inc. (FAN-TSXV), is pleased to announce that the company has reached an agreement with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation to facilitate the team's new charitable raffle, Texas 2 Split.
The Rangers Foundation 50/50 raffle will be implemented for all 2016 home games beginning with the Friday, April 1 exhibition game with the Cleveland Indians.
In November 2015, voters in Texas approved legislation that authorizes professional sports teams' charitable foundations to operate charitable raffles including 50/50 raffles during their home games. The partnership will see the Rangers Foundation utilize 5050 Central's industry leading real-time electronic 50/50 raffle system.
"The Texas Rangers ownership and management team played a key role in enacting legislative change in Texas to allow professional sports teams to expand their charitable fundraising. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and look forward to supporting the great community initiatives this foundation continues to expand," commented Scott Secord, President/CEO of GamingNation.
Fans will be able to purchase Texas 2 Split raffle tickets at every Rangers home game from the time the ballpark gates open until the end of the 6th inning for a chance to win big while giving back to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. One lucky fan has the opportunity to win half of the proceeds raised at each game, with the remaining proceeds benefitting the Texas Rangers Foundation. More information will be available at Texasrangers.com/texas2split.
Fans can purchase raffle tickets at six fixed touch-screen terminals located throughout Globe Life Park as well as with their mobile devices, providing faster transaction times, longer selling periods, accountability and substantial increases in average raffle proceeds.
"The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation looks forward to working with 5050 Central to help implement the Texas 2 Split 50/50 raffle at every Rangers home game in 2016," commented Rangers Foundation Executive Director Karin Morris. "The impact that these raffles will have on the community cannot be overstated. We are excited to be able to make an even bigger difference in North Texas thanks to the support of our fans. We are proud to partner with 5050 Central as we launch our raffle."
