George Springer couldn't escape an out, but he got a Gavin Cecchini hug, which is just as great

The game of baseball never lacks competition, but every now and then we get to witness a heartwarming moment between members of opposing teams. That's exactly what happened on Saturday night as the Astros returned to Houston to host the Mets.
George Springer hit a grounder up the middle off Seth Lugo's offering and into the glove of Ahmed Rosario. Rosario threw across the field to first base, but the throw fell short in front of Dominic Smith who was unable to snag the ball. However, the ball managed to bounce perfectly off the visiting dugout right back to him. Smith then threw the ball to Gavin Cecchini at second base who was waiting with open arms -- both for the ball, and for Springer who embraced him with a hug at the end of the play.

We love hugs, hugs are the best. They even take form of an Adrián Beltré and Carlos Beltrán squeeze that we wanted to reminisce on after witnessing the adorable play.
