MIAMI -- Giancarlo Stanton gave the Marlins all the offense they needed, driving in two runs, including an RBI single in the third inning that proved the difference in a 2-1 win over the Yankees on Saturday afternoon at Marlins Park in the spring finale for both clubs.
Jacoby Ellsbury put New York out front early with a leadoff home run in the first inning.

Yankees right-hander Luis Severino capped his spring with an impressive five-inning start, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits. The hard-throwing right-hander, whose fastball reached 98 mph, struck out six.
After Severino exited, Aroldis Chapman threw an eventful, scoreless sixth inning. He ran a 100-mph fastball up and in on Ichiro Suzuki before getting him to pop out to the shortstop. With two outs and no one on, Chapman walked Cole Gillespie, then he hit Derek Dietrich with a 100-mph fastball. Jeff Mathis walked to load the bases, but Austin Nola struck out. Of Chapman's 26 pitches, 12 were strikes.
The exhibition also allowed the Yankees a chance to test lefty Andrew Miller in game action, three days after he chipped a bone in his non-throwing hand. Cleared to pitch on Friday, Miller faced three batters in the seventh inning, allowing a walk and registering a strikeout.
Along with his RBI single in the third, Stanton hit a sacrifice fly in the first.
With their regular-season rotation set, the Marlins opted to go with all relievers on Saturday. Dustin McGowan made the start and worked 1 2/3 innings. He allowed the homer to Ellsbury.
"He's been a thorn in my side for a while," McGowan said of Ellsbury. "Get it out of the way. If he's going to homer, I haven't given up one of those this spring, get it out of the way."
Up next for the Yankees: The Yankees host the Astros for Opening Day on Monday at 1:05 p.m. ET in a rematch of last season's American League Wild Card Game. The pitching matchups are the same: The Yankees go with Masahiro Tanaka, while Houston counters with Dallas Keuchel.
Up next for the Marlins: For Opening Day on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. ET, Miami showcases its biggest offseason acquisition, lefty Wei-Yin Chen, who made at least 31 starts in three of his four seasons with the Orioles. The Tigers are going with former AL Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander.
