Parker leads Giants' hit parade vs. D-backs

March 12th, 2017

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The Giants pummeled D-backs pitchers and in a 12-4 Cactus League victory Sunday at Scottsdale Stadium.
Bradley, playing for his baseball existence at this point, came into the game with a 17.47 ERA in his first three spring appearances. The right-hander allowed three runs (one earned) on five hits in his four innings, striking out two and walking none. The Giants scored four times against Burgos in the fifth. had three singles in three at-bats and an RBI. and had doubles in the big inning.
"I sawa bunch of positives today. ... I think I did a good job today of kind of slowing down and understanding the situation and really focusing on the pitches I needed to make," Bradley said.
Matt Moore, making his fourth start of the spring for the Giants, pitched four innings and had to work out of trouble in the third when he walked two and allowed a run but was aided in the middle of it all by a nice across-the-diamond double play on a grounder to Nunez at third base.
"I felt good out there today," Moore said. "I think I took a step forward from my last time. There were moments when I gathered myself a little quicker. In the third inning it was hard to get back-to-back pitches and get back in that groove. Just knowing that you're one pitch away from getting those last two outs. The double play is a pitcher's best friend, right?"
A.J. Pollock led off the game with his first homer of the spring, but came out after two innings with what the club called mild left groin tightness. Pollock suffered a left groin strain last Sept. 9 that forced him to miss the remainder of the season. He also missed the season's first five months after surgery to repair a fractured right elbow.

Giants Up Next: San Francisco plays the Rangers on Monday night at Surprise Stadium (6:05 p.m. PT) with right-hander Jeff Samardzija on the hill.
