Bochy's son could be selected in Rule 5 Draft

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- For the Giants, the most compelling drama of Thursday's Rule 5 Draft will involve right-hander Brett Bochy, the son of manager Bruce Bochy.

The younger Bochy was left unprotected, exposing him to being selected by other teams in the Draft.

A 20th-round pick in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, Brett Bochy finished 1-1 with a 3.99 ERA and two saves in 45 appearances for Triple-A Fresno last season. The 26-year-old struck out 57 and walked 16 in 56 1/3 innings.
