Giants' Draft results
The son of former Major League outfielder Luis Gonzalez, Jacob possesses a great feel for hitting and legitimate power potential at the dish. The third baseman out of Chaparral High School in Arizona batted .429 with 19 home runs in 98 games over three high school varsity seasons.
The 6-foot-4, 206-pound Gonzalez showed good range at the hot corner in high school, and also gained some experience playing first base.
