SAN FRANCISCO -- Eight games against National League West rivals are among the most noteworthy dates in the Giants' 30-game Cactus League schedule for 2018, which the team announced Monday.
The Giants have three games against the San Diego Padres (March 7, March 11 and March 15), two apiece against the Los Angeles Dodgers (Feb. 24, March 4) and Arizona Diamondbacks (Feb. 27, March 21) and one against the Colorado Rockies (March 18).
San Francisco will confront its cross-bay Interleague rival, the Oakland A's, on March 12 and 17. The latter is a split-squad home game at Scottsdale, Ariz. They'll also play three games in the Bay Area on March 25-27.
The Arizona portion of the exhibition schedule includes three games against the Chicago Cubs: Feb 25 and March 22 at home, and March 13 in Mesa.
The Giants will open the exhibition season with a Feb. 23 game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Scottsdale.
Game times will be announced at a later date.
