Giants unveil home Spring Training schedule

San Francisco to open 2014 Scottsdale Stadium slate vs. A's on Feb. 26

SAN FRANCISCO -- A Feb. 26 encounter against the cross-bay rival Oakland A's will launch the Giants' 15-game home Cactus League schedule for 2014, the club announced Monday.

The Giants will entertain each Cactus League team at least once at Scottsdale Stadium, except for the Dodgers and Rangers. Besides providing the opposition in the home spring opener, the A's will visit the Giants on two other occasions -- a split-squad game on March 15 starting at 3:05 p.m. MST, followed by a 6:35 p.m. game on March 21.

All other Scottsdale Stadium dates are scheduled to begin at 1:05 p.m. local time.

The Giants will conclude the Arizona portion of their exhibition schedule on March 26 against the Rockies in Scottsdale. San Francisco then will play Oakland twice at AT&T Park on March 27 and 28 before returning to Arizona to open the regular season against the D-backs on March 31. San Francisco will again face Arizona in its home opener on April 8.

Single-game tickets for Cactus League games will go on sale Jan. 9, and will be available online at www.sfgiants.com.
