Giants welcome Padres, Reds and Diamondbacks to town

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. - The 2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants return home for a nine-game homestand against the San Diego Padres (September 11-13), the Cincinnati Reds (September 14-16), and the Arizona Diamondbacks (September 18-20).

Friday, September 11, is University of California, Berkeley Night at AT&T Park. All Bears students and fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a limited-edition UC Berkeley/Giants Hat, as well as a ticket to the game against the Padres. Partial proceeds from the event will go back to a University of California, Berkeley-affiliated non-profit. Major League Baseball will also commemorate 9/11 in all ballparks on this day. In addition to the 9-11 Memorial in Willie Mays Plaza, the Giants will also hold a special pre-game ceremony to remember 9/11.

Saturday, September 12, is LEGO® Day at AT&T Park. Special event ticket holders will receive a ticket to the game against the Padres, a limited-edition Giants Player Buildable Figure to make with LEGO bricks, as well as access to the exclusive pre-game LEGO Day experience taking place in Seals Plaza from 4:00-6:00 p.m. LEGO themed entertainment will take place throughout the game, and a life-sized LEGO model of a Giants player will be permanently installed and unveiled in the Fan Lot. A portion of each special event ticket sold will benefit the Giants Community Fund.

Saturday is also Fiesta Gigantes, presented by Coors Light. The festival will include live music featuring Rocio and Suenatron, and food and drinks available for purchase. The outdoor pregame event will take place from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Terry Francois Boulevard, and is open to the public. On this day, for the first-time, live Spanish-language telecast of a Giants game will take place on Telemundo 48 Area de la Bahia beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Prior to the game, members of the Hispanic Heritage Baseball Museum Hall of Fame will present Gregor Blanco with the Jose Uribe Sportsmanship Award for his contributions to the game of baseball, his community and for serving as a role model for Hispanic youth and exemplifying the character and spirit of the late Giants Dominican Shortstop, Jose Uribe. Celebrating its 17^th year in San Francisco, The Hispanic Heritage Baseball Museum Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization honoring Hispanic baseball players all over the United States and Puerto Rico conducting baseball clinics and exhibits. 

Sunday, September 13, is the fourth annual Yoga Day at the Park, presented by Ahnu Footwear. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will be invited on to the field for a post-game yoga session with live music featuring Sean Hayes 45 minutes after the game concludes. The special event package also includes a ticket to the game versus the Padres, and a Yoga-themed Giants Tank Top.

It is also the 18^th annual Strike Out Violence Day, a day devoted to raising awareness for those affected by violence in our homes and communities and how we can work together to stop the violence. The Giants, Giants Community Fund and Futures Without Violence will come together in a pre-game ceremony to remind fans about the importance of treating one another with RESPECT. Volunteers will also be stationed throughout the park selling raffle tickets for the annual Jerseys Off Our Giants raffle to benefit La Casa de las Madres, which provides shelter and community-based support for victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Additionally on Sunday, all kids 14-years and younger are invited to run the bases following the game, presented by See's Candies. Sunday is also the Giants official autograph day, when two players, coaches, or alumni sign autographs following the conclusion of batting practice. Autographs are for kids 16 and under.

Monday, September 14, is Step up to the Plate, a day to raise awareness for those living in poverty and hardships. The Giants are partnering with GLIDE Memorial, At the Crossroads, Larkin Street, Huckleberry Youth Programs, HealthRIGHT 360 and Project Homeless Connect to raise funds and spread the mission of assisting those in need. A special presentation will take place at home plate, prior to the game to recognize the work of these organizations. Special event ticket packages include a ticket to the game versus the Reds, and a Tim Hudson Bobblehead. A portion of the proceeds from each special event ticket will benefit these non-profits to aid in their ongoing missions.

Monday is also University of San Francisco Night at AT&T Park. All Dons students, alumni and fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a limited-edition University of San Francisco/Giants Hat, as well as a ticket to the game against the Reds. Partial proceeds from the event will go back to a University of San Francisco-affiliated non-profit.

Tuesday, September 15, is the second Filipino Heritage Night of the year. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive access to the Filipino Heritage Night pre-game party in Seals Plaza from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., a ticket to the game against the Reds in one of the Filipino Heritage Night sections, and a limited edition Filipino/Giants T-shirt. Proceeds from each special event ticket sold will be donated to cultural non-profits in the community. Tuesday is also the seventh annual Masons Night, where each special event ticket will help to raise funds for baseball mitts for the Junior Giants.  

It is also Say Hey Tuesday as CSN Bay Area will host Giants Pregame Live, and Giants Postgame Live from Willie Mays Plaza. Fans are invited to come out early and watch their favorite sports analysts. The first 500 fans who come to Willie Mays Plaza and get in line at the Comcast SportsNet tent will receive an Orange Jersey.

On Wednesday, September 16, the first 20,000 fans will receive a Giants World Champions Belt Buckle, presented by Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Wednesday is San Francisco State University Night at AT&T Park. All Gator students, fans and alumni who purchase a special event ticket will receive a limited-edition SFSU/Giants Hat, as well as a ticket to the game against the Reds. Partial proceeds from the event will go back to a San Francisco State University-affiliated non-profit.

It is also Tokidoki Night at AT&T Park. Special event ticket holders will receive a ticket to the evening game versus the Reds, and a collector's edition Tokidoki Giants Commemorative T-shirt. There will also be pre-game and in-game Tokidoki-themed entertainment.

Friday, September 18, is Polynesian Heritage Night. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive access to the Polynesian Heritage Night pre-game party in Seals Plaza from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., a ticket to the game against the Diamondbacks with seating in one of the Polynesian Heritage Night sections, and a limited edition Polynesian-themed Giants Snapback Hat. Proceeds from each special event ticket sold will be donated to cultural non-profits in the community.

It is also a Peanut Allergy Friendly Night at AT&T Park. Fans who purchase a Peanut Allergy Friendly ticket will receive seating in a special Peanut Controlled Section during the game versus the Padres.

Saturday, September 19, is the annual Visa Food Drive, where the first 2,500 fans who donate food or five dollars will receive a drawstring bag.

Sunday September 20, is Peanuts Day at the Park. Special event ticket holders will receive a ticket to the game versus the Diamondbacks and a Peanuts/Giants T-shirt. In-game entertainment will be themed around the upcoming film "The Peanuts Movie" celebrating the Peanuts characters. VIP ticket holders will also have access to the Triples Alley pre-game party from 10:35 a.m.-12:35 p.m., with complimentary food and beverages.

The Giants will also partner with The Myositis Association on September 20 to raise awareness for inclusion-body myositis (IBM). Giants Broadcaster Mike Krukow will be joined in a pre-game ceremony by other patients living with IBM, a degenerative muscle disease that causes progressive weakening in the legs, feet, arms and hands, and will share his journey with the fans since being diagnosed with IBM nine years ago. Fans will have the opportunity to donate to The Myositis Association in honor of Krukow and all myositis patients by texting KRUKOW to 27722.
