Giants welcome Red Sox and Pirates to town

Homestand features: Step Up to the Plate Night, Polynesian Heritage Night and Tim Lincecum Gnome

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. - The World Champion San Francisco Giants return to AT&T Park for a seven-game homestand against the Boston Red Sox, August 19-21, and the Pittsburgh Pirates, August 22-25. 

 

On Monday, August 19, the Giants will host a fundraiser to benefit The One Fund Boston. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a grab bag containing a random giveaway item from past Giants Special Events. A portion of every ticket sold will go directly to The One Fund Boston to aid their ongoing mission. Local survivors of the Boston Marathon will be honored in a pre-game ceremony and throw out the first pitch.

 

Tuesday, August 20, is Say Hey Tuesday as CSN Bay Area will host Yahoo! Sports Talk Live, Giants Pregame Live and Giants Postgame Live from Willie Mays Plaza. Fans are invited to come out early and watch their favorite sports analysts. The first 500 fans who sign up for CSN Bay Area's Breaking Text Alerts will receive an Authentic Giants Fan Synergy t-shirt.

 

On Thursday, August 22, the Giants will host their ninth annual Step Up to the Plate Night at AT&T Park. The Giants and Brandon Belt are dedicating the evening to raising awareness and funds for unfortunate civilians living in poverty. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a Brandon Belt bobblehead. Every special event ticket sold will benefit GLIDE Memorial, At The Crossroads, Larkin St. Youth Services, Huckleberry Youth Programs, HealthRIGHT 360 and Project Homeless Connect.

 

Friday, August 23, is Polynesian Heritage Night at AT&T Park. Special event ticket holders will receive access to the pre-game party in Seals Plaza from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and a Polynesian-themed Giants t-shirt.

 

Saturday, August 24, the first 20,000 fans will receive a Giants Fedora, presented by Graton Resort and Casino.

 

It's also KNBR's Weekends in the Park on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25. Marty Lurie and Patrick Connor will broadcast live from the patio at Public House, leading up to Giants Pregame Show on KNBR 680.

Sunday, August 25, is the annual Dog Days of Summer, presented by Zynga. Fans with special event tickets will be able to bring their dogs to AT&T Park and participate in a pre-game parade and costume contest on the field. An agility exhibition will also be put on by the SF SPCA prior to the game. Additionally, Sunday is the Giants Community Fund's Junior Giants Coaches Recognition Day. Prior to the game, the Giants Community Fund will be welcoming volunteer Junior Giants coaches who have worked throughout the summer to coach over 20,000 participants in 85 communities. In addition to coaching baseball, these volunteers also ran programs in Education, Health and Violence Prevention, as well as instilling the Four Bases of Character Development.

 

Also on Sunday, August 25, the first 30,000 fans will receive a Tim Lincecum Gnome, presented by Coca-Cola/Lucky. Following the game, all kids 14-years and younger are invited to come run the bases, presented by See's Candies.
