Gibson unsure who will replace Bolsinger in rotation

MILWAUKEE -- With the demotion of right-hander Mike Bolsinger to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday, D-backs manager Kirk Gibson said he is not yet sure who will take his spot in the starting rotation.

"As far as a starter in Bolsinger's place, we really don't need to decide that until next Tuesday," Gibson said. "We'll just wait and see how we get through the next two days."

Bolsinger, who allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings in Monday's 8-3 loss to the Brewers, was 1-2 with a 6.08 ERA in five games, including four starts, with the D-backs

The D-backs have an off-day on Thursday, followed by a three-game series at the Chicago White Sox, before returning home on Monday against the Washington Nationals.

Josh Collmenter, who started Tuesday night's game against the Brewers, could start again on Sunday. Gibson added that Chase Anderson, called up from Double-A Mobile on Tuesday to take Bolsinger's roster spot, also could be an option.

"Colie could throw that game," Gibson said. "We really wouldn't need anybody until Tuesday. Or, we could put somebody else in there. We're considering our options."
