Gloves for Kids set for September 21

Royals Players Team Up with Fans to Benefit Area Youth

KANSAS CITY, MO (September 14, 2015) - The Kansas City Royals and broadcaster Ryan Lefebvre's Footprints Foundation, with support from Royals Charities, Kansas Sampler/Rally House, Pro Athlete, Inc. and 610 Sports Radio, will host Gloves for Kids on Monday, September 21. The annual event will be held at Kansas Sampler Oak Park, located at 9750 Quivira Rd. in Lenexa, Kan., from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Select Royals players will sign autographs for fans who donate at least $25 toward new baseball gloves and other baseball/softball equipment for underprivileged youth in the Kansas City area.

This year's event will have a new structure. Participants will be announced at Kansas Sampler Oak Park at 4 p.m. Fans will be able to choose from two groups of players who will be signing simultaneously from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please note that a $25 donation is required for each group, and fans will be allowed to have one item autographed by each Royals player participating in that chosen group. Sales for both groups of players will begin at 4 p.m., and each will be capped at 150 people. If tickets remain after going through the chosen group, fans will be allowed to purchase tickets for the other group of players. For details, visit www.royals.com/glovesforkids
